Today’s Scripture: Acts 6 & 7

Stephen was the 1st martyr of the Christian Church and today’s study shows him giving his “all for the sake for the call” of Christ. But the qualities he demonstrates in his final words are qualities every Christian can learn from and live out today. Study with us the godly way he handles the pressures of the world as he faces eternity with confidence.

Today’s Message: “Growing Pains”

Today’s Scripture: Acts 6:1 – 7

One preacher once said, “Ministry would be great if it weren’t for all the people.” We know this was tongue in cheek humor, but the truth is, where there are people there will be problems. The early church experienced growing pains of problems in the Church as it grew larger and larger by the day. In today’s message we learned how the apostles handled the pains of growth decisively and wisely.

Today’s Message: “Praying Together As A Church”

Today’s Scripture: Acts 4: 23 – 31

Peter and John took the gospel to the streets, healed a lame beggar, was thrown in jail because of it and was warned to stop all teaching in the Name of Jesus. When they told the other believers what had happened a prayer meeting erupted in church! And the prayer the Church prayed is one of the most powerful prayers recorded from believers in the New Testament. This could be a pattern of prayer for all of us.

Today’s Message: “Power In The Name”

Today’s Scripture: Acts 4

There is Power in the Name of Jesus! Someone has said, “As far as the record shows no one was ever converted in the Upper Room. But we must get out of the Upper Room, out to where the needy are waiting, and give them our witness to the redeeming love and grace and power of Jesus Christ.” The early church took the Power of the Name of Jesus to the streets and the word of His Love spread like a fire.

Today’s Message: “Men Of Influence”

Today’s Scripture: Various Scriptures

Psalm 127 verse 4 tells us, “Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.” We are warriors, dad! We hold in our hands the arrows of the next generation and the bow of our influence in their lives. Today I want us to consider the Biblical principles that fathers need to exercise to be men of influence. May God bless our efforts and give us wisdom.

Today’s Scripture: Acts 2: 42 – 47

The young couple had been waiting with great anticipation for this special day. Nine months they had been waiting and the moment finally arrived when the doctor handed them their very 1st child. Filled with joy the proud father held his baby in his arms and whispered to his wife, “Now what do we do?” The apostles must have felt the same way with 3,000 new baby believers. God gives us the answers in our Scripture for today.
