Current Sermon Series:                31 Days Of Prayer

Today’s Message:           Lord Teach Us To Pray (part I)

Today’s Scripture:   Matthew 6: 9 – 10

The Disciples came to Jesus with a request; Lord teach us to pray (Luke 11: 1).  They didn’t ask Him to teach them to preach or to serve or to sing, but to pray, because prayer is the lifeline of the believer.  And Jesus gives them a pattern to follow when speaking to the Father.

“Prayer is not preparation for the battle, prayer IS the battle!” Peter was imprisoned and on death row but the church prayed earnestly to God for him. And God answered their prayers in dramatic fashion.

Today’s Scripture:   Luke 1: 26 – 38
In God’s Plan to become a Man God is the Initiator.  Salvation is God’s Idea!  And He sent Gabriel to a most unlikely place, Nazareth; to call a most unlikely person, Mary; to be used in the most unlikely way … as a vessel to carry and deliver the Savior of the world.

Today’s Message: Joseph: The Forgotten Father

Today’s Scripture: Matthew 1: 18 – 25

Joseph of the Christmas story is a unique character. He is mentioned only a few times in the Bible and he is never quoted. Joseph is The Forgotten Father but holds an important role in the gospel narrative.

Nearly 3,000 years ago, 700 years before His Arrival, the prophet Isaiah wrote of the coming of the Messiah and spoke of Him as “A Great Light”. Today’s Message: Basic Principles of Godly Giving

Today’s Scripture: II Corinthians 8: 1 – 12

In my opinion, our primary section of Scripture for study this morning holds one of the greatest examples and some of greatest principles of giving that we find in God’s Word. The apostle Paul points to the generosity of the Macedonian Churches as an amazing picture we can learn from as we tailor our life around giving God’s Way.

Today’s Message: Giving That Pleases God

Today’s Scripture: Mark 12: 41 – 44

Giving God’s Way is a matter of the heart. It’s not about the amount we give but the attitude we have. It’s not about the portion but the proportion. God loves a cheerful giver!
