Twilight Tours Throughout Scottsville’s History

The Scottsville Museum will host it’s annual Twilight Tour surrounding the themes of civil war times and the incorporation of Scottsville, Virginia on Saturday, October 20, 6-8 PM and Sunday,  October 21, from 5-7 PM. There will be a special performance with spirits from the past on Sunday, October 21, at 2 PM at Victory Hall Theater in Scottsville.

Will Turner – Live Your Bold

Will Turner is out to set the official Guinness World Record for most Ironman races completed in a year. His goal is to complete 60 Ironman races in his 60th year of life. Turner, an endurance athlete, entrepreneur and coach, has been steadily pushing toward his goal since January, and is averaging an Ironman-distance triathlon (2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, 26.2-mile run) every six days. He joins Wendy to talk about his mission.

Tom Powell – Hurricane Florence Relief Effort

Tom Powell, Founder of the Toy Lift Charities and the Greene County Sheriff, Steve Smith, successfully obtained commitments from three private individuals for the donation of three trucks to transport relief supplies to the Hurricane Florence area of New Bern, NC. These will be delivered mid-week next week after we are certain roads are passable enough to allow entry.
