Life Solutions 10.28.18

In Life Solutions

In Matthew 13 Jesus tells the story of a man who finds a treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. That parable is the theme for this series – The Treasure Principle. All the man had BEFORE he discovered the treasure was now expendable when compared to the treasure.

In the parable – the treasure represents the kingdom of God…coming into the Kingdom of God is a radically life altering experience. Finding the TREASURE transforms the VALUE of EVERYTHING ELSE in the man’s life. The same should be true for us – Everything Else in our life experiences a sudden value shift when compared to the Treasure we have found in Christ.

Current Sermon Series: The Acts Church

Today’s Message: “Seven Deadly Words”

Today’s Scripture: Acts 10: 1 – 23

The seven deadliest words hindering progress in the church, in business, or in our lives are; “we’ve never done it that way before”. In our Scripture for today we find God breaking the barriers and changing the standards as He opens the door of the Gospel to the Gentiles. This is an unprecedented move by God and one that takes Peter beyond his own personal boundaries. Are you open to God’s “new” movement in your life? Perhaps He wants to change some things through you as well.
