Current Sermon Series: Our Journey To Jerusalem

Today’s Message: “Everything Is Measured By The Cross”

Today’s Scripture: Mark 14: 12 – 26

In today’s study we find a Passover lamb being eaten by THE Passover Lamb; The Lord’s Supper is being instituted at The Last Supper; the old way giving way to the new way. Jesus is just hours from the Cross and He is confirming His commitment to the Father as He faces His destiny with death.

Brian Gibney – Bennett’s Village

In Morning News Weekends

Bennett Charles McClurken-Gibney passed away at age five on February 28th, 2018, as a result of SMA. (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). He spent most of his life overcoming obstacles and raising awareness for how inaccessible the world is. In his memory, Bennett’s Village(Bennettsvillage.org) was created. It’s an initiative with the goal of creating an all-abilities playground in Charlottesville, much like the ARC(SOAR) Park in Richmond. This isn’t a small project. The estimated the cost of an all-abilities park is $5 million. Though it seems daunting, similar parks are springing up all over the country. Having already generated almost $100,000 in funds, it’s now enough to start the process in earnest. Bennett’s Dad, Brian Gibney joins Wendy to give us an update on the plans for Bennett’s Village, and how you can help.
