Lawrence Gaughan – Unity Coalition

Gov360 is bringing forward a coalition including the former Chair of the Blue Ribbon Commission on Race, Memorials and Public Spaces, Don Gathers; former Mayor, Dave Norris; Chair of the Central VA Young Republicans, Elliott Harding; and other civic leaders and activists to request cooperation from the City of Charlottesville in providing greater opportunities for civil discourse regarding recent events, rallies, and protests. They are also asking the City to publicly address various concerns specific to the developing situation on August 12th.

Uncle Devin – The Uncle Devin Show at Fry’s Spring Beach Club(7/23)

The Uncle Devin Show is an interactive musical experience for children that use percussion instruments to cultivate their minds – a dynamic cross between Fat Albert and Schoolhouse Rock. It takes children on a magical journey through the Land of Percussion allowing them to hear, see and play different percussion instruments. Children will gain an understanding of the history of percussion and why it is the easiest, oldest and most diverse form of musical creativity.

Steve Layman of the Charlottesville Municipal Band joins Wendy Edwards to talk about the 95th Summer Concert Series continuing at The Paramount Theater on Tuesday, July 18 at 7:30PM. This concert series is free to attend. As this popular event is always well-attended, we encourage patrons to arrive early.

The July 18 performance, which is the second concert in the series, will feature Music Director Stephen R. Layman, Assistant Conductor Charles J. Torian, and Guest Artist Dick Orange, Sinatra-style singer.
