Les Sinclair talks with UVA’s Anindya Dutta, the chairman of UVA’s Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics, believes reviewing the inherited genetic make up of a patient can provide similar benefits for predicting cancer treatment outcome and choosing therapy for many other conditions, from diabetes to cardiac problems. The research is published in the scientific journal Genome Medicine.
