There’s a well-known song that goes: “I sing because I’m happy; I sing because I’m free. His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me.”  TerAna Cooper-Rojas, our final guest for the Sounds of Success Women’s History Special, can sing this song and mean it. Life threw a lot at her in her young years but she can confidently sing this song and boldly say in the words of the great Maya Angelou, “still I rise.” And in her case, still she sings.
