According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, July has more car crashes and vehicle deaths than any other month of the year. The exact reasons are unclear but may include more traveling during summer months, more teens on the road since school is out and more pedestrians and bicyclists enjoying the nice weather. According to the CDC<https://www.cdc.gov/motorvehiclesafety/distracted_driving/> approximately 9 people are killed each day and more than 1,000 are injured during July.
