Since January 2012, the Chamber Minority Business Council has worked to increase and support minority-owned businesses. A subgroup of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce, CMBC has more than 50 members representing businesses owned by African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans. We encourage business diversity as a way to strengthen our business community. Next month the Chamber Minority Business Council will host its first Business Diversity Luncheon, providing connections for a diversity of business professionals as well as to promote the diversity efforts of the Council.
