The cheating website, Ashley Madison’s, data breach is already leading to divorce cases. When the Ashley Madison website was hacked, more than 30 million people had their personal information exposed. The data breach exposed names and email addresses of millions of people who used the website for cheating spouses and it should be no surprise that divorce lawyers are getting lots of calls.
Users are panicked. They don’t know what to do.
One client says, “My spouse found out I was on Ashley Madison, I have not done anything wrong other than go on the site and send a few emails, but it has really compromised my marriage.'”
Other Ashley Madison users also denied having an adulterous relationship.
Many claim they were “merely having some fun with some friends, and that has now put them in a jam.
Is signing up for the site proof of anything except poor judgement? If you’re on the Ashley Madison list are you guilty as charged?
Information is now surfacing that a number of profiles were fakes. Does this discredit the leaked list?
We speak with Charlottesville divorce attorney Rob Hagy this morning to find out more.
