With the NFL season upon us, offices everywhere are gearing up for another season of fantasy football, and that’s going to cost US businesses billions in productivity, according to a new survey.

Employees will be sneaking incognito tabs full of mock drafts and daily rankings while hawking Rotoworld more times every day instead of checking their email inbox over the next four months.

Should bosses blow the penalty whistle and ban fantasy football at work? Or should they try to manage it by forming a league for employees – and carving out time daily for workers to spend on their teams? Or, is there an ultimate benefit to “playing” as a team at the office?

Mark Fenner, a business strategist who works with organizations and executives across the country to instill the disciplines of excellence, joins Wendy to discuss the problems posed by fantasy football in the workplace.
