Flu season is right around the corner, so the Thomas Jefferson Health District has set aside special clinic days for people to get vaccinated.
Beginning earlier this month on Thursdays, they have been taking walk-in patients and anyone who wants to get ahead of the virus. The clinic will be dedicating every Thursday for the rest of the year to offering vaccines and encouraging people to get the flu shot.
The clinics will be available in Charlottesville and Albemarle County as well as Louisa, Fluvanna, Nelson and Greene counties. Walk-in clinics dedicated to flu vaccination will last from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on every Thursday.
Kathryn Goodman, public information officer for the Thomas Jefferson Health District joins Wendy to discuss.
