U.S. Army Sgt. John Nolan, former senior specialized-search dog handler previously assigned to the 3rd Military Police Detachment said his K-9 partner Honza saved his life on more than one occasion while the two were deployed to Afghanistan, and it was only right to try to adopt him so they could continue to be partners after he separated from the Army.
