Joe Niekro Foundation Establishing Branch at UVA Medical Center

On Sept. 11, UVA Medical Center will launch a new Joe Niekro Foundation support group (named for the former major league pitcher) for patients and caregivers of those who’ve had brain aneurysms, hemorrhagic strokes, and arteriovenous malformations. Les Sinclair spoke with Natalie Niekro, the founder.  She will be the speaker at the kickoff meeting. The public is welcome to the first meeting held September 11, 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Education Resource Center. Meetings take place the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
