A new and extremely dangerous trend has led some children to suffer serious injury and, in at least one case, an accidental death.

The “Hot Water Challenge,” which kids say was inspired by videos found on YouTube, involves pouring boiling water on an unsuspecting friend — or, in one fatal instance, daring a friend to drink hot, boiling water with a straw.

Harry H Harrison Jr. is a parenting expert and the author of several best-selling parenting books including: Father to Son and Father to Daughter. He joins our Wendy Edwards to talk about this new threat and to offer related parenting tips.
