Scott Sperling, PsyD, a clinical neuropsychologist at the University of Virginia School of Medicine discuss with Les Sinclair how focuses ultrasound brain surgery, that replaces scalpels with sound waves, improved quality of life for people with Parkinson’s disease that has resisted other forms of treatment, a new study has found. The study was notable for its in-depth examination of the psychological and cognitive effects of the procedure, areas that have received relatively little attention in previous research.
