Coming Home Well – 1LT Bob Anderson – Individual Unemployability
Coming Home Well host Capt. Bob Abbott talks with 1LT Bob Anderson, US Army Vietnam Veteran, about how the proposed cuts to Individual Unemployability (IU) will directly affect his family. He could lose his income, his home, and even medical insurance for his wife.
IU is a financial assistance program through the Dept. of Veteran Affairs that helps disabled and unemployable veterans, with an average of $1600/month. The current budget proposal for 2018 eliminates IU for veterans over age 60.
