Westley Kern, with Charlottesville Area Transit, discusses the detour end of Bus Route 5. Beginning Saturday, July 23, Route 5 will end a long-term detour around the Rio Road and Seminole Trail intersection. Resuming normal routes allows Route 5 to service Fashion Square Mall and other surrounding bus stops in the southbound direction. Departure times will alter slightly. Passengers can locate the Route 5 schedule online at www.CatchTheCAT.org or in CAT’s current Rider’s Guide available on all CAT buses and at the Downtown Transit Station.
