Steven D. Benjamin who represents Weiner talks with Les Sinclair about the case. 54-year-old Mark Weiner was arrested in December 2012. Weiner was in Albemarle Circuit Court Tuesday where his attorney had filed a motion to throw out the jury’s verdict. Judge Cheryl Higgins denied the motion and proceeded to sentencing where she gave Weiner a total of 8 years.
