Albemarle High Student Returns from a Research Fellowship

Les Sinclair speaks with Albemarle High School Senior, Meena Ambati about a prestigious research project she was involved with this summer.  She’s a senior and enrolled in Albemarle High’s Math, Engineering, and Science Academy (MESA). The research program was sponsored by the Council on Excellence in Education and hosted at MIT.

Students are selected from throughout the U.S. and throughout the world for the six-week summer program.

Meena selected her research and was guided by doctors from the Yale and Harvard Schools of Medicine. She focused on cells in the body associated with responses to inflammation, specifically in reprogramming these cells to aid the healing process.
