– Mark Miller, Editor of the Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook, tweeted last night that Cavalier head coach Tony Bennett had offered a scholarship to Sam Hauser, a 6’6″, 190-pound, small forward out of Stevens Point Area Senior High School in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Hauser also boasts offers from Iowa State, Marquette and Northern Iowa, among others.

This past season, Hauser, who is rated a 3-star prospect by Rivals and 247Sports, averaged 18 points and eight rebounds per game while helping Stevens Point to a 27-1 overall record and a Wisconsin Division 1 state championship title. Below are highlights of Hauser from last summer…

Paul VI (Fairfax, VA) junior small forward V.J. King, a 5-star prospect who has a Virginia offer and visited Charlottesville last Saturday, scored 22 points and had seven rebounds in a losing effort for Team Takeover last night on the Nike EYBL circuit.

– Per Corey Evans of NY2LASports, Coach Bennett is expected to see 6’10” forward Jay Huff of Voyager Academy (N.C.) this morning. UVa has not offered Huff, who is featured in this EDGE update from March.
