Best Seat In The House

Chris Horne of the Sabre, Recruiting Update

The UVA FB program has added some new commitments, and Chris Horne of the Sabre will join WINA’s Best Seat in the House to discuss it tonight.  He gives you the info below:

On June 2, the University of Virginia football program offered a scholarship to Millbrook (Winchester, VA) running back prospect PK Kier. At the time Kier was committed to James Madison University; however, he made no secret that he was very much considering the opportunity to join the Cavaliers. The Virginia offer proved to be too much for the 5’11”, 205-pound rising senior to turn down, as this evening he announced that he has flipped his commitment from the Dukes to the Wahoos.

6’3″, 220-pound Matt Gahm, a rising senior out of Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas. The 2015 District 10-6A Defensive newcomer of the year participated in a Virginia one-day camp last Friday before receiving a tour of the Grounds this past Saturday, which is when he received a scholarship offer from head coach Bronco Mendenhall.

“Honored and excited to say I am committing to the University of Virginia! GO HOOS,” Gahm wrote in this Tweet.

Air Force, Army, New Mexico, Penn, Rice, Richmond and Texas State also offered Gahm, who Pressbox Services credited with 62 total tackles (45 solo), four sacks, two pass breakups and one forced fumble in the 2015 season. He had been hearing from UVA assistant coach Jason Beck since early May.
