Toy Lift began in 1988 when founder Tom Powell decided to perch himself eighty feet up in a bucket truck at the corner of Hydraulic Rd. & 29. He stayed there until people donated 1,000 toys, which he then distributed to local children. Since then, Toy Lift has grown into a huge annual community event with food, entertainment, and media coverage, raising over 20,000 toys each year.

Early / Remote Drop Off Locations

Charlottesville Radio Group:  1140 Rose Hill Drive in Charlottesville weekdays and the Minutemen Motorcycle Club will deliver them on your behalf.

You can join the ride!  They’ll be meeting at Riverside North at Forest Lakes Shopping Center at 10:00am on Friday, December 1st.  They’ll ride out at 11:30am and deliver the toys to Fashion Square Mall. 

Cost is $10/rider and a new, unwrapped toy.
